Is it a Scam? Does It Really Work? Check Ingredients, Side Effects and More! Emily Butler

A lot of women all over the world suffer from hot flashes in the menopausal period. The modern market offers a great variety of products designed to relieve these unpleasant symptoms in the life of each lady. One of them is Brisdelle which is used for the treatment of hot flashes connected with menopause. It is a prescription product which in fact is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). The way Brisdelle treats hot flashes is unknown. The product was introduced into the market only in November 2013 by American company Noven. According to the manufacturer, this medication was approved by the FDA and doesn't contain hormones.

This medication does not treat dryness or osteoporosis, burning or itching in and around the vagina. The product has its official website that claims that Brisdelle is used only for treating hot flashes, not for psychiatric problems such as obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. However, the description of the product's main ingredient, paroxetine, directly claims that these ways of usage are also possible.

Ingredients of Brisdelle - Does It Really Work? Is It a Scam?

Brisdelle contains only one active ingredient called paroxetine. The latter is an antidepressant which belongs to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It is a completely chemical substance generally used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Lately it has been used to treat hot flashes in women.

It is not recommended to use paroxetine if a patient is also taking thioridazine or pimozide, or if they are being treated with methylene blue injection. The same restriction concerns pregnant and nursing women. Avoid using an MAO inhibitor within two weeks before or after you take paroxetine because it can be very dangerous for your health. You risk getting thoughts about suicide when starting to take this antidepressant. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice the following symptoms: anxiety, abrupt changes in mood or behavior, trouble sleeping, panic attacks, or if you are too irritable, impulsive, agitated, aggressive, hostile, restless, more depressed, hyperactive, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself.

Paroxetine can be only used by grown-ups and people who are not allergic to paroxetine. Don't use Brisdelle if you have liver or kidney disease, heart disease, history of stroke, high blood pressure, seizures or epilepsy; a bleeding or blood clotting disorder; bipolar disorder, narrow-angle glaucoma; a history of suicidal thoughts or drug abuse; or low levels of sodium.

Inactive Brisdelle ingredients include: sodium starch glycolate, dibasic calcium phosphate, magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide, gelatin,FD&C Yellow #6, FD&C Red #40, FD&C Red #3, shellac and black iron oxide.

Where To Buy Brisdelle?

Brisdelle is available on Walmart, Amazon, Walgreens, GNC and other retail stores at the cost of $170-200. The product is extremely expensive. One package of this medication contains 30 capsules that is a one-month supply. However, the official product's website promises to provide you a discount on buying prescribed Brisdelle each month. To learn all the details of this offer you'll need to register on the website. Buying any product online, ensure at first that it is reputable and can be trusted.

My Final Summary

I don't think that Brisdelle can take proper care of your health. It has too many disadvantages. First of all, the medication is very dangerous; it can cause different side effects. Besides, it is expensive even though it is available on many websites. This product may have a reverse effect and worsen your state. You are expected to have relief in four weeks only. It's too long!

There are good things about Brisdelle, however. It is non-hormonal and FDA-approved, at least, as the manufacturer claims. It can be easily bought any time online. It is easy to take - one pill a day. Taking all this information into consideration I cannot recommend Brisdelle to usage. The modern market offers many other products used for the treatment of hot flashes in women more effectively and without such great risks for health.

Affordable Alternative

A lot of doctors are sure that the main symptoms of menopause problem can be perfectly solved with the combination of such natural products as Theobromine, Ginseng, Ginkgo Biloba, red raspberry and Licorice root. I completely agree with them because I study many products of the kind. I can say with confidence that there is such a product on the modern market! It is called Provestra. Isn't it great? I recommend you reading my review about Provestra. I hope it will be helpful for your sexual life.
